PATHWAYS recommendations for professional (re-)integration of persons with chronic diseases presented at the European Parliament


EASPD, together with the other partners of the PATHWAYS Consortium, presented the Recommendations for integration and reintegration of persons with chronic diseases in the labour market. The document was presented during the final conference of the project on March 20th, 2018, at the European Parliament.

Funding a more social Europe: EASPD’s recommendations to the European Union on the Multiannual Financial Framework post 2020


In response to the European Commission’s consultation, on the future of the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), EASPD has launched its recommendations for the future budget of the EU.

Running for a minimum of 5 years, the MFF sets the limits for the EU’s annual budget. Once agreed by the European institutions the MFF determines the maximum allocation of EU funds for broad policy areas. The current MFF has run for 7 years and will come to an end in 2020, after which a new MFF must be agreed upon.

The European Commission highlights EASPD work in the promotion of social inclusion


The European Commission (EC) highlights EASPD work and good practices in 2016, recognising the association as a key EU-level NGO in the promotion of social inclusion, poverty reduction and access to finance. Specifically, the Commission mentions EASPD in a recent report (page 45) that shows examples of innovative projects and organisations supported by the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) in 2014-2017.
